Remember the actor Stephen Collins?
He was the actor who starred in the long running tv series Seventh Heaven back in the day in the 90s and 2000s whose career ended when his ex-wife leaked a tape where he admitted during a marriage counseling session that he used to expose himself to girls in their early teens.
I was thinking about him lately because I can remember quite clearly the way that this man was treated when these revelations came out.
He was treated with sympathy.
At the time I couldn't believe it, because this was a man who had exposed himself to girls in their early teens-and the mainstream media and the public were sympathetic to someone who was exposed as a pederast!
The interview he had on ABC News was approached in a very respectful and sympathetic way towards the actor, and I remember being amazed. This man, I thought, was guilty as sin. He admitted to his crimes. He admitted to exposing himself to young female teens, and yet comments that I've read underneath the video posted on YouTube were very understanding to Mr. Collins.
He was seen as a tragic figure, as a man who had an illness that he had no control over. He was seen as a man who became a pederast because as a child himself a woman had exposed herself to him in the same way years ago. People talked about the tragedy of a talented man losing what was a long and prolific career.
Now, let's compare the treatment of Stephen Collins to that of Armie Hammer.
As soon as allegations of cannibalism came out, contained in DMs that were poorly written and sloppily put together-in other words, fake-the feeding frenzy began.
He was ridiculed and made the butt of everyone's jokes. His Finsta account was passed around for everyone to see after it was hacked by his bitch ex-wife. He was accused of the most heinous crimes possible, including vampirism, necrophilia, human trafficking, molesting his own daughter, rape of a prostitute. The mainstream media and social media condemned him and refused to print anything that might question the allegations against him. He lost work, and he even received the wrath of the likes of Kathy Griffin, Dakota Johnson, Miles Teller and the Not Ready for Prime Time Players, and Jennifer Lopez. He's had a hit piece 'documentary' made about him. Comments left on any video or article about this man are nasty nasty nasty!
And that doesn't even include the death threats he's received.
And yet, Armie Hammer has yet to admit to any crimes that he's been accused of.
Actually, he never has admitted to any of these crimes that he's been accused of.
But the world has no problem condemning a man who has yet to be proven guilty of any of this shit.
I don't understand.
Is it the times that we are in or what?
Oh, the hypocrisy of it all.
So, do you remember Stephen Collins?
How could I not remember him?
How in the hell could I not remember Stephen Collins...
