In the latest podcast interview with James Kirchick, James was asked if he had gotten any flak for doing the interview with Armie Hammer. He stated that it's been mostly positive and that the most negative responses he's gotten was that some ppl who've contacted him have said that they think Hammer is a weirdo and that they don't like him anymore but that they felt that this story was a very important story to tell.

To say that you don't like Armie anymore because he's a weirdo is really rich, to say the least.
This is a man whose PRIVATE kinks was dragged out for the world to see, that world which includes these judgmental assholes mind you!
To not like anyone anymore because of reasons is certainly your right, but to call this man a WEIRDO because of things that were never any of your god damn business in the first place is gum smacking nerve!

I don't understand the hypocrisy. Michael Jackson was an ABSOLUTE weirdo who slept with children and didn't see a problem with it, and he was beloved and still is. Why are Hammer's proclivities different and off-putting ( though you still pay attention to him, mind you )?! Remember, if this smear campaign had not happened you assholes NEVER would have known about his kinks! These are the same kind of sanctimonious assholes who judge and punish Morgan Wallen after he is recorded by a sleazy stalker who records him outside of a bar and grill having a private, albeit inebriated conversation with his friends where he happens to use the dreaded n-word. What happened after that? That sleazy stalker then records this conversation, sells it to TMZ and then THEY BROADCAST IT, after which follows is a slew of judgmental bashing from ppl who can't get it through their thick skulls that they are condemning an individual because HIS PRIVATE CONVERSATION WAS RECORED BY A STALKER!!!!!! A conversation which was not meant for their ears in the fucking first place!

You know what I hope happens?
I hope that the conversation concerning BDSM changes, and that more and more ppl's attitude towards the practice changes for the better. BDSM is NOTHING to be ashamed of. More ppl practice it than you jerks would like to admit, and many practitioners are a part of the-wait for it- movie industry! I hope it's revealed that many of the ppl that you do still like practice BDSM and enjoy it greatly. I want this puritanical nonsense to die a hard and fast death!
I hope he makes a comeback and regains his A-list status and makes new fans, making fair-weather fans like yourselves unimportant and obsolete.
I hope Hammer practicing BDSM makes him even MORE interesting to his image than he was before, as I suspect that some ppl might not have been into him because they thought his image was too boy -next- door and not edgy enough.
